Creare lampade ‘plastiche’ a freddo, utilizzando il vinavil.

Come produrre una collezione di lampade di plastica da costruirsi in un workshop dove non si possono utilizzare macchinari ‘a caldo’? Vinavil (è la risposta).

Un ingegnoso sistema di produzione inventato da Vered grazie al quale possiamo tutti quanti diventare artigiani plastici.

Un workshop per essere introdotti alle strutture gonfiabili. Semplici, economiche, dai risultati sempre di grande effetto.

Un workshop per filare un tappeto spaziale intessendo una quantità sconsiderata di elastici. Un tappeto speciale che non è pensato per stare a terra ma che galleggia a mezz’aria definendo un paesaggio morbido e inaspettato su cui misurare i nostri incerti passi.

A week in the life (NABAvision) is a one week workshop for secondary school students to experience design in nabadesign. The goal is to enable participants to understand design (and the process that underpins it) through making things — this year the students made a bridge, a set of notebooks, and some reliable transport for raw eggs!

On the first day the students experienced the design process, from project idea to the construction of a 1:1 scale model. As an example we chose a bridge. Before making the actual bridge everyone took part in a quick competition “who can make the longest wood-stick bridge” (made with kebab sticks) to understand the construction method, then they passed on to a real scale study model…and understood all the problems and the weaknesses.

Second day, second workshop.

Let’s make something about communication! If observation is the fuel for every designer, every designer needs a tool for sketching ideas and thoughts. What’s the best way to sketch ideas and thoughts? Paper of course!

The students made D.I.Y. notebooks, all starting from an A0 paper sheet and using recycled material found in paper shops.

The third workshop saw the students explore yet another challenge, beginning with problem. Each design process starts with the definition of a problem. The problem they faced was the fragility of a fresh egg, the challenge was to design a protective packaging using recycled sheets of paper.

The experiment raised reflections on issues of structure and flexibility, functionality and aesthetics and other topics related to design methodology, like: how to get out of the box??

L’ordine degli architetti di trieste ha invitato Naba design ad allestire la mostra principale della loro manifestazione “Piazza dell’architettura”.

Vincoli di progetto: no budget, si potevano solo riciclare gli elementi e i materiali presenti nel magazzino dell’allestitore Tosetto, con il chiaro desiderio che venisse fuori una cosa bella, ineccepibile e perfetta.

Missione compiuta!
